Privacy

Your data stays on your Mac.

The app

Search locations, the catalog, learned ranking, and clipboard history never leave your Mac. Superhound reads file names, never file contents.

It talks to superhound.app in two cases:

• Activation. When you activate or deactivate a license, it sends the license key and a device ID, a one-way hash of your Mac's hardware ID.
• Updates. Once a day, it asks for the latest version, with no license key and no device ID. Turn this off with Check for Updates Automatically.

Purchases

Polar (polar.sh) handles payments as the merchant of record. We receive your email address, your order, and your license key from Polar, and use your email address only to send your license.

This website

No cookies and no analytics. Cloudflare hosts superhound.app and sees the IP address of each request. We keep no request logs. To stop repeated attempts, the server counts license requests for each IP address for one minute.
