Commands and settings

Control your Mac and go to any settings pane.

Commands

Lock Screen, Sleep, Restart, Shut Down, Log Out, Toggle Mute, Toggle Dark Mode, Empty Trash, and Eject All Disks.

• Restart, Shut Down, and Log Out show the macOS confirmation first.
• Empty Trash asks first.
• Lock Screen uses a private macOS call that a later macOS can break.

System Settings

Type the name of a pane, such as storage or displays, and press Return.
